Job Description

[c. £200-250k Comp Package (or equivalent) | Hybrid Working - 3 days in office]

Our client is a leading cryptocurrency market-making and quantitative trading firm founded in 2013. With over 200 employees globally, they provide liquidity across major cryptocurrency protocols, exchanges, and ecosystem stakeholders. Leveraging expertise from other quantitative finance leaders, our client has developed an institutional-grade trading platform to navigate the unique challenges of digital asset markets!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate security policies and procedures adhering to frameworks like NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and regulations such as MAS TRM
  • Perform risk assessments leveraging threat modeling, vulnerability scanning, and asset valuation techniques
  • Monitor compliance technically through security tools and auditing as well as process-wise across security, technology, and business units
  • Create and deliver targeted security awareness training utilising attack simulations, social engineering, and other methods
  • Respond to and lead analysis of cybersecurity incidents leveraging forensic capabilities and mitigation techniques
  • Provide architectural and technical guidance on identity and access management, network security, and securing critical business applications


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field
  • 5+ years of experience securing complex IT environments, including managing information security risk and compliance programs, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in finance
  • In-depth knowledge of leading security frameworks and ability to interpret regulations
  • Desired certifications like CISSP demonstrating technical security competencies
  • Ability to tailor complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence leadership
  • Hands-on experience implementing technical security controls and tooling
