Our client, a leading global investment firm, is seeking a skilled L1/L2 Trading Applications Support Analyst - FIC to join their team in London. The successful candidate will provide trade support to all EMEA Trading Teams on the firm's proprietary and external trading applications, focusing on resolving client and application issues stemming from the use of trading platforms to execute trades across global markets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 1+ support for Fixed Income, Commodities, and FX Trading systems, serving as the first call for all EMEA-based trading groups
  • Support the firm's proprietary platform for electronic and algorithmic trading, including testing, capturing requirements, marketing, and implementing algos with PM teams
  • Assist with automating processes to increase efficiency and streamline trade support
  • Manage incident & change processes and create new knowledge base to provide effective solutions to trading issues
  • Coordinate with vendors, internal application owners, and trade floor support for platform onboarding, ensuring correct installation, configuration, and testing
  • Handle user onboarding, including account setup, product permissions, and coordination with risk for trading limits
  • Provide training to new users on various technology stacks (Trading applications, risk management platforms, APIs)


Key Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Trade Support / Business Analyst role in a major financial institution (sell-side, buy-side, or trading firm)
  • Experience supporting fixed income & derivatives trading platforms
  • Broad knowledge of Fixed Income, Commodities, Cash Equities, and FX trading systems, as well as OMS
  • Good understanding of Unix / Windows environments
  • Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language (Python, Java) and API concepts (HTTP protocol, REST APIs)
  • Intermediate SQL skills
  • Ability to prioritise in a fast-moving, high-pressure, constantly changing environment with a good sense of urgency
  • (Preferred) Exposure to multiple asset classes (EQ Derivatives, Interest Rates derivatives, Equities Cash markets, Fixed Income, Credit)
  • (Preferred) Familiarity with middle and back office systems, risk management tools (Murex, OpenLink, Imagine), and Bloomberg or Reuters market data services
