Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network systems, including firewall configurations, VPNs, and other network hardware
- Contribute innovative ideas during discussions on potential problems, solutions, and projects
- Provide support for network infrastructure and the automation framework
- Use scripting and automation tools to streamline network management and deployment processes
- Develop and implement network automation strategies to enhance efficiency
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure network solutions meet requirements and adhere to best practices
- Enhance monitoring systems to identify and anticipate failures, improving network stability and availability
- Oversee the entire network infrastructure, from data centre cabling to network architecture design
- Focus on projects 75% of the time, with 25% dedicated to support, including on-call duties
What You Bring...
- Experience with firewall technologies such as Fortigate, FortiManager, SDWAN, VPN (site to site), and ZTNA
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems
- Expertise in routing and switching at CCNP/CCIE level (Cisco preferred, Arista is a plus)
- Knowledge of multicast (IGMP/PIM), BGP inet/cross-connect peerings, traffic manipulation, MP BGP (Route leaking/VRF lite), and Arista Validated Designs (AVD)
- Experience with data centre switching technologies and overlay routing (VXLAN)
- Familiarity with cloud networking technologies (AWS/Azure)
- Automation experience and proficiency with Bash tools (wget, curl, jq), Bash scripting, Python/Go, and Devnet/Automation
- Broad understanding of networking to handle various network-related issues
- (Preferred) Expertise in firewalls and routing and switching, with a focus on Arista
