Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a global virtual infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability
• Configure, manage, and optimise VMware-based solutions, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
• Automate provisioning and infrastructure management using PowerCLI, Terraform, Packer, and Ansible
• Plan and execute VMware hardware refreshes, upgrades, and data center migrations
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning, leveraging VMware Aria Operations or similar monitoring tools
• Strengthen security through patch management, vulnerability remediation, and access control best practices
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, including Zerto and VMware Live Recovery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align virtualization strategies with business needs

What You Bring...

• 8+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise-scale VMware infrastructures, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• Expertise in VMware upgrades, migrations, and multi-region buildouts
• Strong background in Windows and Linux server environments
• Familiarity with disaster recovery tools such as Zerto and VMware Live Recovery
• Solid understanding of networking (VLANs, firewalls, routing) and storage solutions (SAN/NAS)
• Proficiency in automation tools, particularly PowerCLI, Terraform, Packer, and Ansible
• Experience managing virtual desktops running on the VMware hypervisor
• Ability to operate in a fast-moving environment, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution
