Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, rack, and cable servers, switches, and storage in colocation data centres, ensuring structured cabling best practices for power, networking, and storage connectivity
• Diagnose and resolve hardware failures, performance bottlenecks, and automation inefficiencies
• Oversee the full hardware lifecycle, from procurement to decommissioning, including firmware updates and proactive maintenance
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Packer, and Ansible
• Maintain and optimise RHEL and VMware ESXi environments, ensuring high availability and best practices
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to enhance infrastructure deployment processes
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to support scalable and consistent environments
• Enforce security controls, compliance policies, and automation-driven enforcement mechanisms
• Regularly patch and rebuild systems to mitigate vulnerabilities and maintain security integrity
• Conduct infrastructure audits and implement security measures aligned with industry standards
• Write and maintain Python and Bash scripts to automate infrastructure tasks and monitoring
• Build custom tooling to enhance system diagnostics, monitoring, and operational efficiency
• Document automation processes and maintain version control to ensure consistency

What You Bring...

• 4+ years of experience working in colocation data centres, handling hardware deployment and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation and infrastructure management
• Experience with DevOps tooling, including GitLab, Artifactory, Grafana, and Prometheus
• Strong Linux administration skills, preferably with RHEL
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Packer, Ansible)
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (VLANs, routing, firewalls) and storage solutions (block/object storage)
• (Preferred) Experience in hybrid cloud environments (AWS)
• (Preferred) Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD for container orchestration
