Key Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy and maintain high-availability network environments across multi-vendor data centres, offices, and cloud platforms
- Convert business needs into detailed network architecture, including topologies, capacity planning, and failover strategies
- Produce clear network documentation - diagrams, standards, and operational runbooks
- Lead and manage network projects, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders to drive timely delivery
- Select suitable hardware and software solutions, evaluating them against performance, scalability, and security requirements
- Propose and pilot new technologies aimed at optimising network performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
- Guide the Network Reliability team to adopt best practices, ensuring seamless transitions from design to operations
- Provide tier‑3 support for escalated network incidents, addressing complex performance or connectivity issues
- Recommend automation opportunities and implement innovative solutions to streamline network operations
What You’ll Bring...
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering or related roles with strong delivery of complex enterprise projects
- Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Advanced networking certifications - CCNP mandatory; CCIE is a strong advantage
- Proficiency with core networking protocols: OSPF, BGP, EVPN, VLAN/VxLAN, STP, MLAG, IGMP, PIM, QoS, HSRP/VRRP
- Experience using diagnostic and performance tools: Wireshark, netcat, tcptrace
- Demonstrated experience with Arista and Cisco platforms in data centre or campus environments
- Strong security networking experience - AAA (Radius/TACACS), device hardening, and Palo Alto or Fortinet firewalls
- Competent in cloud networking services within AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Elastic Stack, CVP or Grafana
- Solid background in scripting and automation using Python, Ansible, Git
- (Preferred) Familiarity with voice platforms including Cisco Unified Communication technologies
- (Preferred) Exposure to network telemetry and monitoring protocols such as sFlow, LANZ or similar
