Our client, a leading UK investment asset and pensions manager, is currently seeking an experienced Applications Software Engineer (minimum 3 years experience) to play a crucial role in the development of business applications and solutions for front office trading, operations, and insurance risk modelling.
As an integral part of their Applications development team, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including engineering teams, quants/strategists, traders, middle office, and financial analysts, to ensure the delivery of effective solutions.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a high level of expertise in transactional and data processing systems, financial workflow, and risk reporting applications. Proficiency in Cloud technologies, specifically AWS, is highly desirable. Additionally, experience with server-side web applications/services and various SQL databases is important. Familiarity with renowned proprietary risk and pricing solutions used by institutions like JPM, BAC, GS, MS (or a solutions provider in this field) is advantageous. Having 3+ years of experience working with Python is a requirement, and proficiency in languages such as C++ or Java would be an asset. Experience with proprietary trading and risk modelling languages will also be highly valued.
