Our client, a distinguished quantitative investment management firm, is seeking a Database Administrator/Engineer to join their technology team. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing, securing, and optimising the databases essential to their advanced trading strategies and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine data processes and translate requirements into robust solutions
• Design, develop, and maintain state-of-the-art database systems
• Administer SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and other critical databases, ensuring optimal performance and security
• Monitor and fine-tune database performance; manage disaster recovery, backups, and permissions
• Utilize T-SQL, PL/SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS for administration and business intelligence tasks
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Shell, and Python scripting

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years database administration experience
• Proficiency in SQL Server and PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of database monitoring, analysis, and disaster recovery practices
• Experience with SQL, T-SQL, and PL/SQL
• Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills
• Proactive and collaborative team player
