Our esteemed client, a leader in the finance industry, is seeking a Head of Infrastructure Security to spearhead the development and advancement of a state-of-the-art security program. This pivotal role is an extraordinary opportunity to apply your extensive knowledge of large-scale financial infrastructures. You'll lead and expand a skilled team, dedicated to protecting vital data and systems, overseeing five direct reports with plans to augment the team by 3-4 members within the year. Reporting directly to the CISO, you'll harness the latest in technology, including co-pilot and AI-enhanced tools, while championing security engineering and staying abreast of emerging trends. Your leadership will be key in steering change management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement a comprehensive infrastructure security strategy that aligns with corporate objectives
  • Fortify server security across Windows (focus) and Linux environments, ensuring the safeguarding of sensitive data
  • Champion initiatives in data and database security, with an emphasis on effective Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies
  • Strengthen security protocols for desktops, end-user devices, and mobile technologies
  • Oversee the security of SaaS platforms, such as Office365, ensuring stringent compliance and robust data protection
  • Craft and supervise application security protocols, spanning from development through to deployment
  • Lead and invigorate a team of security professionals, fostering innovation and pursuing excellence
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to integrate security practices seamlessly
  • Remain at the vanguard of industry developments to preserve a cutting-edge security stance, balancing leadership and technical expertise equally

Key Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 10+ years of direct experience in infrastructure security, within the finance or banking sectors
  • Profound knowledge of server security for both Linux and Windows platforms, including expertise in Active Directory and LDAP
  • Demonstrated success in data and database security, particularly in implementing DLP
  • Experience in DevSecOps and managing vulnerabilities
  • Proficiency in securing end-user devices and major SaaS platforms, including Office365 and managing mobile security
  • Experience with cloud security frameworks across AWS, GCP, Azure, and O365
  • Outstanding leadership qualities, capable of motivating and guiding cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept at engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A steadfast commitment to ethical practices and upholding the highest standards in security compliance and best practices
