Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and testing of hardware options, providing in-depth written assessments of relative performance between similar hardware options
- Liaise with external vendors to remain up to date with the latest market offerings
- Work closely with the IT team to incorporate hardware choices into the existing Windows and Linux environments
- Proactively manage a portfolio of hardware types, including remote working solutions, workstations, monitors, and various desktop peripherals
- Troubleshoot driver issues within a Windows Operating System and write PowerShell scripts
- Analyse complex technical problems with brevity and accuracy to identify the needs of internal end-users
- Assess long-term performance using metrics and end-user assessment to inform future product selection
- Provide innovative solutions to upgrade existing technology and improve the user experience for colleagues across the firm
Key Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role with a deep knowledge of computer hardware, desktop peripherals, audio, and video conferencing equipment
- Strong understanding of Windows/Powershell
- Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical problems clearly
- Experience with automated OS builds and deployment
