Envision yourself stepping into a world-renowned trading powerhouse as a pivotal member of the Research Technology team. In this role, your expertise will help shape all aspects of research infrastructure - from conceptualising the next data center to scripting software for efficient compute cluster operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the development of High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure, continually scaling one of the world's largest private compute clusters
• Script software for an ever-expanding compute cluster, with ~1PB memory, ~100K CPU cores, extensive offload devices, 60+PB storage, and multi-Tb networks
• Excel in a dynamic environment, swiftly implementing improvements that directly amplify core quantitative research functions

Key Requirements:

• 7+ years experience, in a Systems Admin/Linux Engineer or SRE role
• Strong coding abilities, ideally with recent exposure to Python and at least one statically typed language
• Solid hands-on experience with computer networks, IP/Ethernet, InfiniBand, and related technologies
• Eagerness to solve complex problems from the ground up
• Proficiency across various technology stack layers (network/hardware/OS/software) to produce optimal results
• Understanding of large-scale distributed systems
• (Desired) Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and compute offload devices like GPUs
