On behalf of our esteemed client, we're recruiting a Data Center Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining key data centers (across Asia Pacific if in Hong Kong). The role involves managing daily operations, project deployment, and cross-regional coordination, essential for our client's advanced computing infrastructure. This position offers extensive exposure to diverse technical environments.

Other Responsibilities:

• Travel between data centers performing equipment installation and cabling
• Design and implement cabling plants leveraging best practices
• Coordinate logistics including shipping, inventory management, and receiving
• Uphold stringent security, documentation, safety, and organisation standards
• Collaborate with engineers and administrators to troubleshoot issues
• Supervise vendors performing data center work
• Work evenings and occasional weekends

Key Requirements:

• 7+ years data center experience with cabling expertise
• Self-starter mindset with ability to work independently
• Basic knowledge of networks, Linux, and Windows
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders to install equipment
• Experience with Dell, Cisco, Arista, Ciena, Corning, Ortronics
• Ability to terminate and troubleshoot cabling
• Familiarity with Bash scripting
