We're seeking a Senior Linux Engineer to lead the standardisation and automation of Linux infrastructure at a top investment firm. Your role will focus on enhancing scalable, secure Linux platforms for computing, HPC, and low latency tasks. This is a chance to pioneer Linux innovation and optimise critical platforms for industry-leading professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Standardise systems through automation, testing, and monitoring at scale
• Enforce infrastructure development standards spanning CI/CD, configuration management
• Develop self-service deployment pipelines integrated with developers
• Work with stakeholders to regularly reprioritise objectives
• Test and integrate new technologies balancing needs
• Eliminate manual tasks through automation and self-service
• Optimise resource utilisation leveraging metrics and reporting

Key Requirements:

• Extensive Linux administration, networking, security, automation skills
• Experience with Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible configuration management
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes container orchestration
• Expertise with bare metal, hypervisor, public cloud platforms
• Programming abilities across Python, Ruby, Java, C/C++
• Understanding of Linux auth, encryption, certificates, kernels
• Experience with CI/CD, REST APIs, troubleshooting, tuning
• Passion for participation, collaboration, and mentorship
