Our client, a distinguished financial organisation, is seeking a Systems Engineer with networking expertise for their Infrastructure Engineering team. This role involves working with a cross-platform team to enhance and manage the organisation’s essential technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and integration of infrastructure systems, focusing on network devices, protocols, and core systems
• Oversee the maintenance of the firm's operating systems (Linux and Windows), authentication systems, and databases
• Manage and enhance virtualisation infrastructure, ensuring robust and efficient operations
• Develop and maintain core network services and messaging systems for both internal and external environments
• Work closely with global colleagues across various departments to ensure seamless technology integration and operation
• Actively seek ways to improve technology processes and infrastructure, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and development

Key Requirements:

• Strong understanding of networking technologies, systems administration, and familiarity with Linux, Solaris, and Microsoft Windows environments
• Proven experience in phone, desk-side, and remote user support, catering to a diverse user base
• Familiarity with Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages is beneficial
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with global teams of diverse backgrounds
• Superb organisational skills to manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently
• A demonstrated interest in building technology, helping others, and a desire to continuously improve processes and systems
