Our client - a global investment management firm known for its quantitative and systematic strategies - is seeking a hands-on operations engineer to support its global End User Computing environment. Working at the heart of a dynamic, agile infrastructure team, you’ll provide enterprise-level support, drive technical initiatives, and help improve the daily productivity of investment professionals and business teams alike. This role blends on-site engineering, client-facing support, and project delivery in a fast-paced and collaborative environment...

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level, hands-on support for Windows, macOS, mobile, and collaboration tools across the user environment
  • Proactively diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technology issues - balancing technical depth with a customer-first approach
  • Train users on corporate tools, policies, and new technology rollouts to drive adoption and reduce friction
  • Participate in 24/7 support rotations and perform daily health checks on enterprise systems and devices
  • Deliver internal training sessions and publish support documentation to promote user self-service and knowledge sharing
  • Manage moves, adds, and changes, ensuring smooth transitions for hardware and software setups
  • Liaise with vendors and global service providers to maintain SLAs and coordinate service improvements
  • Lead and support project-based workstreams, including technology upgrades, relocations, and end user experience enhancements
  • Ensure thorough documentation of incidents, root cause analysis, and preventative measures using Jira and other internal tools
  • Travel occasionally for site support and international project delivery when required

What You Bring...

  • 3-7 years of experience in end user support or IT operations roles, ideally in financial services or enterprise-scale environments
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting Apple products and macOS devices in an enterprise setting
  • Broad technical proficiency across Windows, Microsoft 365, Apple platforms, and video conferencing tools
  • Familiarity with trading and market data platforms such as Bloomberg, Eikon, and Neovest
  • Strong scripting and automation knowledge using PowerShell, Splunk, or similar tooling
  • Proven track record delivering high-quality support in high-pressure environments with discretion and professionalism
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • Ability to assess and respond to issues with business impact in mind - prioritising urgent tasks intelligently
  • (Preferred) Prior experience supporting investment professionals and high-performance trading teams
