Role Overview
We’re partnering with a leading quantitative trading firm that operates one of the most advanced engineering environments in financial markets. As the organisation continues to scale globally, it is investing in strengthening its internal IT engineering capability to support a growing user base and highly technical workforce. This role joins a small, collaborative IT team responsible for maintaining internal systems while also building automation and engineering improvements that increase operational efficiency. The environment spans Windows, Linux, and macOS, with this hire expected to bring strong Windows systems expertise while remaining comfortable operating across a mixed operating system landscape.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support for internal users across desktop systems, applications, and IT services
- Act as an escalation point for complex Windows endpoint issues and performance troubleshooting
- Engineer automation solutions to streamline support workflows and reduce operational overhead
- Administer and maintain key internal platforms including identity systems, collaboration tools, and SaaS applications
- Manage and improve onboarding workflows for new employees, including user provisioning and device setup
- Maintain accurate documentation covering operational procedures, system configurations, and internal tooling
- Support the lifecycle management of IT hardware and software assets in collaboration with internal teams
- Contribute to technical projects designed to improve infrastructure reliability, automation, and internal tooling
- Participate in an on-call support rotation covering operational incidents and user requests
What You’ll Bring…
- 3-8 years’ experience in IT operations, systems engineering, or advanced technical support roles
- Strong hands-on expertise supporting Windows environments, including troubleshooting performance issues and system configuration
- Practical knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy administration
- Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell
- Familiarity working across mixed operating system environments including Windows, Linux, and macOS
- Experience administering SaaS platforms such as identity providers, collaboration tools, and internal productivity systems
- Experience working within technology-driven or engineering-heavy environments
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset
- (Preferred) Exposure to infrastructure or automation projects beyond traditional IT support
- (Preferred) Familiarity with Git or developer tooling workflows
