Job Description

[Up to c. $350k Comp Package | Hybrid Working]

Role Overview

We’re representing a world-leading quantitative investment firm seeking a highly capable technologist to join its Founder’s Office - a unique, high-trust environment operating at the intersection of advanced technology, engineering, and executive support. This is not a traditional support role. It is a broad, hands-on position suited to a strong technical generalist who enjoys solving varied and complex problems across systems, software, and security. You’ll work directly on a wide range of technologies - from endpoint environments through to automation tooling and internal applications - while also contributing to wider engineering and security initiatives across the firm...

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end technical support across a diverse and high-performance technology environment
  • Design and build internal tools and automation to streamline workflows and reduce manual overhead
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and mobile platforms across multiple operating systems
  • Contribute to the development of lightweight applications and utilities to improve operational efficiency
  • Apply and uphold strong security practices across devices, systems, and workflows
  • Support and enhance monitoring, administration, and maintenance tooling
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements based on practical use cases
  • Leverage modern tooling, including generative AI, to accelerate development and productivity
  • Participate in broader infrastructure and security projects across the organisation
  • Operate as a trusted technical problem-solver across a wide range of ad hoc challenges

What You’ll Bring…

  • 3-7 years’ experience in a technical role spanning systems, engineering, or security (flexible for exceptional candidates)
  • Strong generalist skillset across operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and/or macOS
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g. Python, PowerShell, C#)
  • Experience building tools, scripts, or lightweight applications to automate workflows
  • Solid understanding of systems administration fundamentals, including hardware, OS, and user environments
  • Strong troubleshooting ability across both software and infrastructure layers
  • Exposure to cloud platforms or modern engineering environments
  • Interest in improving user experience through technical solutions rather than manual processes
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to operate in high-trust, user-facing environments
  • (Preferred) Experience in either:
    • Internal software development or automation-focused engineering
    • Infrastructure or endpoint security (e.g. threat detection, vulnerability management, endpoint protection)
  • (Preferred) Experience in high-performance or technically demanding environments (e.g. financial services, trading, or similar)
  • (Preferred) Familiarity with using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity
