This is a hands-on systems engineering role sitting close to the servers, networks and tooling that keep trading systems fast, reliable and scalable across multiple regions. It suits someone who enjoys deep Linux ownership, production problem-solving and infrastructure work where small improvements can have a meaningful impact on platform performance...

Key Responsibilities

  • Own investigation and resolution of Linux server issues across production trading infrastructure
  • Build, test and maintain OS-level tooling, scripts, packages and deployment workflows
  • Tune Linux-based systems to improve latency, throughput, stability and operational efficiency
  • Manage infrastructure change requests, configuration updates and server lifecycle activity

  • Support longer-term platform planning, capacity forecasting and infrastructure improvement work

What You’ll Bring…

  • 5-12 years’ experience administering Linux/Unix systems in production environments
  • Strong Linux troubleshooting skills across OS, hardware, services and network-adjacent issues
  • Experience tuning Linux kernels or OS-level parameters for performance-sensitive systems
  • Experience supporting trading, market data, exchange connectivity or low-latency infrastructure
  • Solid understanding of core networking protocols including TCP, UDP, IP, DHCP, NFS, TFTP and NTP
  • Hands-on scripting ability with Bash, Python or similar
  • Experience with tools such as Ansible, Kickstart, Yum, Git or SVN

  • Ability to balance daily production support with project work across multiple teams
  • (Preferred) Exposure to NAS environments or datacentre-based infrastructure
