Role Overview
We’re representing a leading quantitative trading firm seeking a Trading Reliability Engineer to join a high-performing London team supporting critical trading and market data infrastructure. The role offers broad exposure across application support, systems engineering and electronic trading, with direct interaction with traders and ownership of production services from deployment through to ongoing optimisation. Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain production trading and market data platforms across multiple trading teams
- Partner closely with traders to understand requirements and resolve technical issues quickly
- Troubleshoot across application, Linux and networking layers in a time-sensitive environment
- Own production changes, deployments and ongoing service improvements
- Contribute to the onboarding of new trading teams and associated infrastructure
- Support connectivity and infrastructure surrounding FPGA and low-latency trading environments
- Build automation and internal tooling to improve reliability and reduce manual operational work
- Contribute to monitoring, incident response and wider reliability initiatives
- Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve engineering efficiency
What You’ll Bring...
- Approximately 3-6 years' experience in production support, reliability, systems or application engineering
- Solid Linux fundamentals and experience working in production environments
- Comfortable with Python and scripting for automation
- Strong understanding of core networking and systems concepts
- Experience diagnosing and resolving issues in high-pressure environments
- An understanding of electronic trading, market data or financial markets
- A curious, hands-on approach with the ability to work effectively across both support and engineering projects
- (Preferred) Experience with low-latency environments, FPGA infrastructure, OMS/market data platforms, Grafana, Airflow, SQL or comparable technologies
