Role Overview
We’re representing a quantitative trading firm hiring a Senior macOS Endpoint Engineer into its global enterprise technology organisation. The position sits within a small engineering team responsible for the systems and tooling behind the firm’s end-user technology environment, with operational support handled by a separate function.
This is primarily an engineering and project role rather than desktop support. The successful hire will become a key technical owner for macOS, improving how Apple endpoints are provisioned, secured, automated and maintained while solving platform-specific problems that standard enterprise tooling does not always address. Role Snapshot
- Operate as a senior macOS engineering specialist, owning technical improvements across a globally distributed enterprise endpoint environment
- Likely suited to someone with 5+ years of relevant endpoint, systems or platform engineering experience and substantial hands-on ownership of macOS at scale
- Engineer and maintain macOS provisioning and management through Apple Business Manager and MDM platforms such as Jamf Pro, Workspace ONE or Microsoft Intune
- Build automation around endpoint configuration, deployment and lifecycle management using Bash or Python, with a strong preference for repeatable infrastructure-as-code approaches
- Own application packaging and software distribution workflows using technologies such as AutoPkg and Munki
- Strengthen endpoint security, configuration standards and platform resilience while working closely with security and wider infrastructure engineering teams
- Diagnose complex recurring macOS issues and engineer permanent fixes rather than relying on repeated operational remediation
- Act as a technical escalation point for the separate support function when deeper macOS, deployment or security engineering expertise is required
- Work comfortably across enterprise networking and workplace technologies, including 802.1X, Wi-Fi, IPv4, collaboration platforms and conferencing environments
- (Preferred) Bring additional exposure to iPadOS, Ubuntu/Linux, osquery, Salt or similar systems automation and endpoint-management technologies
